MINI and the government are offering £2,000* towards a new MINI as part of the scrappage scheme.

Owners who scrap cars over ten years old will receive a £2,000 contribution towards the purchase of a brand new car. The idea is to cut CO2 levels by replacing older, more polluting vehicles with the latest fuel-efficient models.

*MINI and the government scrappage payment applies to cars first registered on or before 28 February 2000 (V registration) or vans first registered on or before 28 February 2002 (Y registration, or new style numbers plates where the third and fourth digits of the registration are 51).
