CELEBRATING 25 YEARS OF ENGLISH SPIRIT AND GERMAN MANAGEMENT.

Since 2001 we’ve been combining English spirit and German management, proving the pairing makes a pretty strong combination.

This summer another English institution takes centre stage under German direction. To mark the moment, and celebrate this winning combination, we commissioned football artist Jamie Eke to create a 2,508-square-foot mural in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.

JAMIE EKE X MINI.

Brighton-based artist Jamie Eke’s comic-style football artwork has become a distinctive visual voice in the game. Which made him the perfect fit for the project. Jamie created a bespoke mural bringing together football culture, English spirit and German influence through his graphic style.

“This project was all about chemistry. Taking two distinct identities and showing how well they can work together when there’s trust, confidence and personality on both sides.” – Jamie Eke

Football line-ups, chants, tactics boards – that visual language became a really fun way into telling the story.

THE GAFFER'S RIGHT UP OUR STRASSE.

Last March, we welcomed Thomas Tuchel for his first match in charge of the England men’s national team with a takeover around Wembley Stadium.

We lined the legendary Wembley Way with words of support, as well as BOXPARK’s giant screen. Flags bordered the stadium’s boulevard with messages such as “English Spirit. German Management” and “A match made in heaven” as we added to the pre-match buildup. What better way to celebrate the winning combination of our own English heritage and German ownership?
