BUDGET BENEFITS.

Thinking of making the switch to electric? Here you’ll see how ownership of an all-electric MINI car comes with its own set of financial benefits, making it a smart choice for the discerning buyer.

ELECTRIC SAVINGS WITH GRANTS, PERKS AND TAX BENEFITS.

Switching to a fully electric MINI doesn’t just feel good, it makes financial sense too. From government incentives and tax benefits that can help bring down the upfront cost, to subsidies that reduce the price driving in the city and installing EV chargers at home, there are plenty of incentives to make the move the electric even more rewarding.

ELECTRIC CAR GRANT.

The UK Government’s Electric Car Grant* is here and the MINI Countryman Electric qualifies for the grant of £3,750.

HOME CHARGING GRANT UP TO £350.

If you have dedicated off-street parking and live in rental accommodation or own a flat, you could also qualify for the Electric Vehicle (EV) chargepoint grant. The grant pays 75% towards the cost and installation of a homecharge unit (up to a maximum of £350), and with our charging partner Pod, that means you could get yours fully installed from £549, with a five-year warranty as standard.

Please note, chargepoint grants are subject to eligibility.

TAX BENEFITS FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES.

Electric vehicles are exempt from London’s Congestion Charge until 25 December 2025, when a charge of £15 per day will be applied. However, electric vehicles will still benefit from some tax perks. From 1 April 2025, electric vehicles registered on or after this date will pay the lowest first year rate, set at just £10. From the second payment onwards, they’ll move to the standard rate of £195. There’s also a 3% BIK rate for 2025/2026. This compares very favourably to equivalent petrol models which is great if you’re thinking about choosing an electric MINI for your business.

ELECTRIC BENEFITS FOR BUSINESS.

Thinking of installing electric vehicle chargepoints at your workplace? The Workplace Charging Scheme makes it easier—and more affordable. Eligible organisations, including businesses, charities, public sector bodies and small accommodation providers, can receive funding support to help cover installation costs.

  • Up to 75% of the cost covered (including VAT).
  • Maximum of £350 per socket.
  • Support available for up to 40 sockets across all sites.

Whether you're electrifying a single location or rolling out across multiple sites, this scheme helps make the transition to electric charging more cost-effective.

THINGS WE'RE OFTEN ASKED.

Charging settings in your all-electric MINI enable the charging process to be adapted to local conditions or personal preferences. For instance, the target level can be set to 80% in order to protect the battery and improve charging performance.

Your vehicle is charged using cashless payments – you can pay conveniently via a monthly direct debit from your payment account. Your MINI Charging online account provides you with a constant overview of your charging processes and the costs.
