MINI Roadside Assistance is more than a breakdown service. It’s your companion in the unfortunate event of an accident or breakdown. Our experienced multilingual staff will first try to help you on the phone to get you quickly back on the road. If your MINI is immobilised – due to electrical or mechanical breakdown, road traffic accident, lost keys, misfuelling, damage or destruction by fire, theft or vandalism they’ll arrange the assistance you need.

ACCIDENT OR BREAKDOWN? HERE'S WHAT TO DO.

  1. Put on a safety vest
  2. Secure the scene of the accident, (hazard warning lights, headlights on low beam, warning triangle)
  3. Call 112 if there are any injured people
  4. Administer first aid if possible
  5. Call MINI Roadside Assistance: 080012345678*or establish contact using the MINI App.
  6. Look for a protected place. Do not leave the scene of the accident
  7. The police will be informed (if necessary)
  8. A towing service will be sent to the scene of the accident (if necessary)
  9. Expert advice is provided on how you can reach your destination
  10. A replacement vehicle (hire car) is provided (normally covered by your car insurance)

MINI Teleservices makes your life easier. It’s a collection of intelligent technology features that provide support when your MINI requires servicing or maintenance. It makes the whole process more convenient and efficient. Sensors continuously monitor the state of key components and they’ll tell you in good time when action is necessary. When regular servicing is due, your preferred authorised MINI Centre already knows. And they have all of your service related data stored, analysed and ready to go. It’s transmitted to them via Automatic Teleservice Call.

By the time your MINI Centre calls you to arrange an appointment, they’ll know everything they need to about your MINI. This means they’re better prepared for your visit and can pre-order any parts that may be needed. With this peace of mind, you can focus on what lies ahead and enjoy trouble-free driving.

Whether your MIN is new or second-hand, you can activate MINI Teleservices in the MINI App. You just have to set up a customer account and assign your vehicle to this account and select your preferred MINI Service Partner. To contact you and prepare for an appointment, your Authorised MINI Service Centre can trigger and call up the current Teleservice Call data of your vehicle and send messages, e.g. reminder of an appointment, to your vehicle.

Service Partner Management enables you to define your preferred MINI Service Partner who will answer your vehicle's Teleservice calls. You can change the currently assigned MINI Service Partner at any time in the vehicle menu or in the MINI App. To ensure that your MINI Teleservice call is correctly assigned, MINI can also amend missing or clearly incorrect service partner assignments.

If you need technical assistance while you’re on the road, you can rest assured that you’ll get the help you need – thanks to MINI Teleservice Breakdown Call. You’ll be able to transmit your MINI’s data to our Roadside Assistance team so they can diagnose the problem and send the right kind of assistance, sharpish.

If you are unable to make an emergency call after an accident, it's reassuring to know that your MINI will do it for you. All new MINI models (since 3/2015) are equipped with the intelligent Emergency Call system that automatically dials the Europe-wide emergency number 112 in the event of a serious road accident. It transmits the vehicle location, chassis number (VIN), as well as other rescue-relevant data (type of accident, airbag and seatbelt status, number of occupants, direction of travel).

In an emergency, push the SOS button to send your location and vehicle information to our response center. In some cases, your MINI calls automatically and we can request help on your behalf. Specially trained personnel will then contact you, provide assistance in your native language and contact appropriate emergency services so that you can get help quickly. Important: eCall only records necessary data at the time of the accident and is not used to monitor the movements of a vehicle.

MINI WARRANTY FAQS.

All Genuine MINI Parts come with a two-year warranty as standard, while new vehicles come with a three-year warranty.

The Approved Used MINI Warranty means your Approved Used MINI has unlimited mileage protection against breakdown and repair costs for parts and labour for a minimum of 12 months.

We want you to have total confidence in your car which is why the warranty is backed by MINI, not third-party insurers, and even covers the battery and exhaust. In addition to the Approved Used MINI Warranty, you’ll also get 12 months MINI Roadside Assistance.

All new MINI cars registered from 1st January 2004 are covered by a 12-year anti-corrosion Warranty against perforation by rust. The Warranty does not cover corrosion caused by neglect, accident damage, stone chips or other external influences. The Warranty does not apply to parts, panels or materials that have not been approved by MINI.

You can tailor MINI Insured Warranty to your own individual needs, choosing from three levels of cover: Comprehensive, Named Component or Driveline, as well as the option to include MINI Roadside Assistance*.

DRIVELINE.
Our basic level of cover protects the main parts that contribute to the engine, transmission and drive-train of your MINI, Driveline is available on all MINIs.

NAMED COMPONENT.
Protects against mechanical and electrical breakdown for a specific list of your MINI's components. Cover is available for MINIs with mileage up to 100,000 miles.

COMPREHENSIVE.
Comprehensive cover provides our highest level of Insured Warranty protection and covers the majority of mechanical and electrical components in your vehicle with mileage up to 100,000 miles.

*Vehicles must be serviced in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and genuine parts, or parts of equivalent specification must be used.

A recall is an action designed to address potential defects in products. A MINI recall can cover vehicles or components, accessories and parts. A recall is targeted at specific production range that has been identified as requiring review. We will always endeavour to explain why we are recalling a car when we contact owners.

MINI operates in accordance with the code of practice on safety defects, as agreed between the corresponding Department for Transport and the representative Trade Associations in a country, and in compliance with the General Product Safety Regulations. Owners of a car subject to a recall have a duty to ensure that it is completed at the earliest convenience.

MINI covers the cost of any technical campaigns and safety recalls.
 

Yes. MINI will cover the replacement of the recalled part, as long as you went to a qualified mechanic who used Genunie MINI parts should any previous repair work have been necessary.
