Yes, the soft top roof folds electronically about 18 seconds even while you’re driving at speeds of up to 18 mph. It has three settings, including MINI's hallmark sunroof mode, and the roof slides back to allow up to 40 cm of light to stream in. You can open or close it remotely when the car’s parked. You can even get a 'rain warner' app for your smartphone to tell you to close the roof of your car if it’s likely to rain where you’ve parked it..
It drives very similarly to its MINI Cooper equivalent, with the roof not really having any negative effect on the handling. You enjoy plenty of grip, as well as excellent agility when you take corners. There are two performance levels to choose from – Cooper and Cooper S. They both have a 2.0 litre TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder petrol engine.
It is more luxurious than ever, with more features on board, too. It comes with the stunning, frameless display that combines the functions of the instrument cluster and the on-board monitor and infotainment hub. You can see when your next service is due as well as check your electric range and charging status, and even set up and manage your MINI Digital Key in the MINI App. Remote services let you search for your vehicle in say, a big car park, lock/unlock doors and adjust climate control remotely. It also gives you direct access to your MINI Service Centre.
