The lovely Henry is a Leicester-based video editor, photographer and proud MINI Electric owner. So who better to share his first-hand experiences and help take your electric worries away?
We caught up with him to find out what he loves about the electric life, how he finds charging on-the-go, and where him and his MINI Electric have been. Can you tell us a little bit about your MINI Electric?
I've had it for about a year and a half now. And 15,000 miles later, I can confidently say it’s been fabulous. I’d never driven a MINI before the electric one and it was like ‘yeah, I get it now, it all makes sense’. You know people rave about them and I can absolutely see why.
How does your MINI Electric help with your work?
A lot of my film production work happens in and around London so having a car that means I don’t have to pay the congestion and ULEZ charges is always handy. But it’s also great to drive in and around the city… it’s just so nippy.
What’s the longest journey you’ve done in the MINI Electric?
I've got a friend who lives in London and we decided to go up to Scotland for an extended weekend. It was probably one of the best long drives I’ve done in any car, whether electric or petrol.
How did you find charging on a journey that length?
We never struggled to find a charger, there were no queues, and it allowed us to visit places that we’d otherwise miss. We even plugged in at a fast charger right beside the Angel of the North – giving us chance to go for a walk and get some photos. The car was ready to leave before we were!
