HOME CHARGING OPTIONS.
HOUSEHOLD PLUG.
You don’t actually need any complex installation or unit to charge at home.
Simply use a standard charging cable and adapter to plug into any conventional household 230-volt power socket (Type G).
2.5 hours of slow charging will be enough for your next commute of up to 50 km.
A whole night using the household plug will be enough on average to give you several days of city driving.
FASTER CHARGING WITH A HOME CHARGER.
A PodPoint home charger offers you a convenient, faster alternative to the standard mains supply, if you want to charge your EV regularly at home.

A dedicated, 3-phase 11 kW home charger connection will generally give you up to 3-times faster charging time. So your all-electric MINI can be fully charged within around 3.5 hours.

A home charger is specifically designed with overheating protection and a fault circuit breaker to allow for a constant high load.

A home charge unit from our partner Pod Point is a brilliant way to charge your electric MINI. For some customers living in specific circumstances, the government offers a £350 home chargepoint grant towards installation. Further information on eligibility for the grant can be found here.
CHARGING CABLES.
Your electric MINI comes with one charging cable that is designed to work with a home charger or public charging point, where the AC power supply is increased. This allows you to charge an electric MINI much quicker at home and when you’re out and about.
MINI CONNECTED.
With the MINI Connected app, you can control many of the electric MINI functions through your phone. Check the range and top up your charging. Use maps and real time traffic information to plan and schedule journeys. You can even set the air con to the perfect temperature remotely.
